About Monica
Monica’s love for singing goes back to her earliest memories. Her passion for the art of singing is visible in her excitement when students reach a new goal. Beginning as an artist, she is still regularly singing live and in the studio, and writing new music. She has been teaching since 2011 and has both a Bachelors in Commercial Voice and a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy from Belmont University. Her time studying for her Masters provided the opportunity to learn at the Vanderbilt Voice Center with their renown voice specialist. During her training, she also studied the anatomy and physiology of the voice which has helped her gain a better understanding of how help singers in all genres and styles. Her teaching method emphasizes vocal health and good technique which can foster longevity for the professional singer.
She has had the privilege of working with artists; Sam Hunt, Shay Mooney from Dan and Shay, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Jess Carson from Midland, Devin Dawson, Spencer Crandall, Maddie Medley, Kaylee Rose, Alaina Surgener, Mary Kutter, and many more. She has also had experience working in a classroom setting with large groups as well as with bands, worship teams, vocal production in the studio, and partnering with managers to achieve the best with their artists.
In her free time, she wrangles her amazing daughter and has the best husband in the world. She loves hiking, mountains, and has been known to read too many books.
